What is Intercession?
Intercession is prayer offered on behalf of someone else. It’s stepping into the gap and asking God to move. Scripture reminds us in 1 Timothy 2:1–4 that this kind of prayer is powerful and pleasing to Him. When we come into agreement together, heaven moves in ways we may never fully see this side of eternity.
The Intercessors will cover our church and key ministry events in intentional prayer — VBS, Give a Kid a Chance, Nights of Worship, retreats, and more. Sometimes this will look like praying remotely as a team over upcoming events and the people attending them. Other times, you’ll have the opportunity to prepare the way on site — praying over rooms, leaders, volunteers, and participants before the first person ever walks through the door. Think of it as serving as a spiritual “welcome team,” inviting the presence of God into every detail before anything begins.
As this ministry grows, seasoned intercessors will walk alongside those newer to this calling, creating space for discipleship, encouragement, and growth. So whether you’re just beginning to recognize a call to prayer or you’ve been faithfully interceding for years, the Kingdom needs you. And we would be honored to stand in prayer with you.
